Community Cloud is used to share the IT Infrastructure among group of organizations from a specific community. So that group of organizations can access the system and services which is managed internally or by third party. Advantages and disadvantages of Community Cloud is as follows;
Advantages
- Cost Effective – As Community Cloud shares IT Infrastructure between several organizations, cost is devided inbetween those organizations.
- Security- When comparing with public cloud, Community Cloud have more security.
Disadvantages
- Privacy Issues – Since all data of a organization is stored in shared location, theres a possibility of accessing that data by other organizations in the Community Cloud.
- Allocating Responsibilities – It will be difficult when allocating responsibilities like maintenance, security and cost between the group of companies.
